Baker Street

While this is a nice looking fan for our needs, I will probably not buy another Hunter Fan. I have installed several for the past 15 years in homes and rental apartments. While most have been fairly good, the last few have not.
First: The Baker Street model by Hunter wobbles no how well I level the mountain plate, swap the blades around or try to balance them, it still wobbles. Additionally, the pull chain for the fan settings which goes through the light fixture works poorly.
Also has a hell of a time getting all the light wires and control wires into the bottom compartment. This is unnecessary anxiety because the installers in on a ladder, trying to squeeze the wiring container closed, and start a small screw in each of the three homes at the same time.
As I said above, this is a nice looking fan. However, my time is too valuable to dink around with installing another shoddy Hunter fan, only to find out that no matter how well I follow the instructions and use common sense; I still fight with average engineering and the thought that it has to come back down, boxed back up, and driven 35 miles to return it.
I just wish the Hunter fans of 15-20 years ago were available today.
