I'm having problems with my Casablanca fan also. It was purchased/installed in April 08 and is now laying on my patio waiting for the electrician to replace the receiver.
Expected better technology with all the hype and expense.

I'm with you. I've got three hi-end Casablanca fans that all have sagging flywheels. They wobble, scrape and grind. So much for Casablanca being top-of-the line.
