Ceiling Fans $200 to $299

The next pricing category is $200 to $299. These are already considered quite expensive, especially if the fans are 52 inches and smaller. But for larger fans at 60 inches or bigger, this price range is fairly reasonable. Hunter, Casablanca, and Emerson Fans are common players in this category.

At this above average price range, you will find several fans with the basic functionalities and features but with light kits and more powerful motors. Several wet-rated outdoor fans can also be bought at ceiling fan prices between $200 and $299. Buying at this price range is also a good compromise if you want a high quality fan made of more durable components and manufactured by more trusted brands.

This price range already features some models with unique styling and the fans usually have light kits. These fans are also usually EPACT compliant with or without the light kit. Ideally, these fans should also have CFM efficiency ratings of above 75, which is the average, and airflow capacity of 4000 CFM to 5000 CFM.

High-End Fans $300 to $399

High priced ceiling fans are more feature-filled. If you are willing to spend $300 to $399 for a fan, then you will most likely be able to find several wall controlled and remote controlled offers. These fans also tend to be more economical in terms of energy usage. Ideally, ceiling fans at this price range should have higher airflow capacity of between 5000 and 6000 CFM with efficiency ratings of 78 CFM or higher. Premium Fans $400 to $499

Lastly, the premium ceiling fan offers in the market have ceiling fan prices that start at $400 and end at $500. This is already way more expensive than what most consumers are willing to pay for fans, but there is usually a reason for the higher price. The most common reason is the size of the fan, which, at this price range, is usually between 54 and 70 inches.

Also, fans over $499 should be capable of moving air at a minimum rate of 6200 CFM and the airflow efficiency should not be lower than 100 CFM per watt.

At this price range, you will be able to find extremely efficient Energy Star certified fans. So far, in terms of CFM, the best fans money can buy are the ECO series from Emerson Fans. The Avant ECO has an airflow efficiency of 345 CFM/watt, the Midway ECO has 355 CFM/watt, and the Carrera Grande ECO has a record 359 CFM/watt. These all belong to this price range.

Buying By Budget – Ceiling Fan Brands for Various Budgets

Despite the varied prices offered by various brands, you can usually tell the price range of a fan based on its brand. Brands such as Harbor Breeze and Hampton Bay are low-priced, while Casablanca, Emerson Fans, Minka Aire, and Monte Carlo offer mostly high-priced fans.
