EF200DA-52 Nickel Finish

DOM 7-2005, installed 1-2006. Ran fine till today - heard a clink sound and motor stopped but still pins freely. Very hot around wiring box where light kit attaches and fwd/rev switch is located below the motor but lights had been off all day so it wasn't heat from lights. Took down light kit to find capacitor had 3 lumps of metal melted through the side of the capacitor case.

Barely able to read uf specs on case as the melt through was right through the middle of imprinted schematic on side of capacitor. Read warranty and it implies motor is warranteed for 15 years (not lifetime as specified on this site) and the rest is only a year so the capacitor comes out of pocket and if unavailable or too expensive I'll be driving across the road to Lowes although all they sell is this Chinese crap - is there anything other than adult diapers and bread made in the US anymore?

Anyway I hope one review I read of not carrying parts isn't true for the store near me, or at least Lowes across the street carries them (one that will fit anyway). I have a fan in a bedroom that's a US made Hunter from 1993 that still works fine, never a noise or wobble or anything else. Worst part of all this Chinese crap is it's not cheaper in price than the previously US made fans and parts, and these Chinese items tend to be dangerous to the purchaser anymore.
