Emerson Athenian

We purchased two Athenian fans for our gameroom.

We bought them because they looked great and matched our style but also because they came with uplights, which we like.

The fans work great and look great but we have been sorely disappointed with the uplights.

Emerson specified only 25 watt T8 candelabra bulbs that barely light a closet much less half a room.

They blame this on the new fan light legislation but I notice that Craftmade manages to still get three 60 watt regular bulbs in their fans with uplights.

In any case T8 bulbs are hard to find, expensive, put out little light, and last about 30 days each. It's ridiculous. No more Emerson fans for us.
