This fan went up very easily replacing a builders special from 11 yrs ago. Total install time was under an hour. Love the remote which operates both the fan & speed and the light with dimmer. Instructions were fairly clear but I don't recall it mentioning that the fan speed must be set to HIGH via the pull chain for the remote to get the fastest speeds. If you installed this fan and think its slow, pull the speed chain to off then once more. From then on, use the remote. You'll be amazed at the great amount of air this fan will move...quiet and well balanced out of the box.
