Heritage Ceiling Fans
Reminiscing the Glory Days of the Past

Heritage ceiling fans represent an important stage in the history of manufacturing. These intricately designed fans feature very traditional and grand looks that focus more on the details and the materials used.

In the present time, there are plenty of reasons why heritage ceiling fans still get great response from homeowners. These elegant fans look great in old-fashioned rooms or rooms with old-age themes.

Aside from that, heritage fans are made from the finest and the most durable materials around, so using heritage fans also ensure you get long-lasting, good quality products that can provide great cooling for you day and night.

The Story behind Heritage Ceiling Fans

The age of Heritage fans began during the Industrial Revolution when the manufacturing industry took a turn after the discovery of cast iron as a top-quality material used in the industry. Following such a development, artisans begun creating cast iron furniture. Heritage ceiling fans sport very distinct features thanks to the heavy impression caused by this specific period in history.

Most Heritage-style fans bank on the details of the casings and housings of ceiling fans. The ceiling fans adopt an antique look with lots of details and ribbings. The materials are also often textured rather than sleek, and you will most likely come across some medallions here and there for an extra touch.

Most of the fans also feature three types of finishes, namely tropical wicker, traditional wicker, and carved wood or Adirondack. Some also come with beveled-glass light kits, mostly in the form of lanterns.

If you are interested in Heritage ceiling fans, then make sure you check out these three top models.

The Heritage Fans You’ll Love

Casablanca C19U500F Heritage Outdoor Ceiling Fan

Casablanca offers a full range of ceiling fans in the Heritage style. One of these is the C19U500F, which is suitable for both outdoor and indoor use. The fan features an aged bronze finish to achieve the antique theme of Heritage ceiling fans. Priced at less than $500, this is also one of the most affordable Heritage-style fans around.

However, the price does not affect the quality of the fan. The C19U500F features an XTR 200x 30-mm motor and is rated for wet locations. Its 5 blades have 60-inch blade spans and a 14-degree blade pitch. It also comes packaged with a W-81 dual rotary wall control for easy operation of its 4 forward fan speeds. There is an optional light kit meant for the C19U500F, but this does not come with the basic package and can instead be bought separately.

Casablanca C19546F Heritage Brushed Cocoa Outdoor Fan

Casablanca offers more Heritage-style fans, including the C19546F or Brushed Cocoa outdoor fan. The $469 model features a powerful XLP Plus motor which comes with a lifetime warranty and a 12-day in-home service. The fan has 5 blades with a tropical wicker finish, and it has all-weather blades that can withstand changing weather conditions even if you install the fan outdoors.

The five Tropical Wicker blades have a 60-inch blade span plus a 14-degree blade pitch. You can also choose from 4 different speeds; operating the fan is made easy by a special W-81 wall control system. Like the previous Casablanca model, a separate light kit is also available.

Minka Aire Heritage Sundowner

For those who want a Heritage fan at a reasonable price and cost, your only top choice is the Minka Aire Heritage Sundowner. Minka Aire is a well-trusted brand that provides greatly designed ceiling fans, and the Heritage Sundowner is one of their most attractive products. Available at only around $200, you already get a 54-inch ceiling fan that’s also U.L.-listed for wet locations. The motor features a Heritage finish and works quite efficiently, which is why the Heritage Sundowner has been named as an Energy Star ceiling fan.

The Heritage Sundowner boasts of a 16-degree blade pitch for optimum air movement. Its all-weather blades come in an all black stainless hardware. The poly molded and galvanized steel housing parts are also guaranteed strong and durable. The fan, however, does not come with wall controls, though you can avail of optional controls separately. Aside from that, you can also choose to avail of any one of two sizes of downrods.

The Heritage Sundowner is part of Minka Aire’s Designer series ceiling fans. It is also widely recognized as one of the most affordable and great value Heritage ceiling fans.
