Hunter 25746 Grand Isle remote controled ceiling fan

I bought 2 of these Hunter 25746 Grand Isles at the same time, they were not cheapo units, $150-200 range. Both fans and remotes work well, but one has always had poor flickering lighting. It has morphed into a light bulb blower, they blow instantly when inserting new ones into this unit.
But wait the fan has a "Lifetime warranty" doesn't it? Nope, only the fan motor has a warranty, and even that is a little iffy after calling Hunter today. The replacement lighting control unit is a whopping $65+shipping.
I also bought a more upscale Hunter ceiling fan for the bedroom at the same time, it also has a remote, and the light also flickers, even faintly when the light is turned off. Off should mean off, not flickering lightly.
You can also count on a 30-minute hold trying to contact them. I read many others saying the same thing online. I would avoid buying Hunter fans.
