Hunter ceiling fan?

On my hunter ceiling fan the chain to pull to turn the lights on and off is broke? How do I fix it? If you pull the cord to turn the light on nothing happens. It wont even click. So when I took it apart the inside mechanism doesn't "catch".

So now only the fan works but I need lights. Any solutions? I don't want to buy a whole new fan. I really would like to find a resolution to this problem. Do I have to take it to a repair shop (if there is one?) Please somebody help me. I don't like being in the dark! :-/
