Impressions model 1524X

I recently bought an Impressions ceiling fan through Wal Mart. I have installed at least 20 fans, never this brand, and have never encountered this issue before.

All was going well until the instructions said to remove the 10 screws from fan motor that are used to attach the blade arms to the motor. Sounds simple enough, but the screws would not budge. After several hours of trying, I had to take down the whole unit.

My husband and I had to use a vice hold on the motor, a screw driver and a pliers to remove the screws. This took another hour of work. The fan is up but 6 hours of labor is out of the question. Thank goodness I was not paying an electrician to do the work.

I will NEVER buy this brand again and would recommend that NO ONE should ever purchase one. You will have no way of knowing if the same situation exists unless you unpack the unit and try to remove the screws before you buy it. I hope the fan I bought is the last one this company is able to sell!!!
