I was not allowed to choose my ceiling fan. He bought it without asking my opinion. First impressions: Wall switch is not user friendly at all, stiff buttons, hard to find in the dark, and the light button doesn't turn off the light, it sets it on strobe, which renders the wall switch even less user friendly, the only way to turn the light completely off is to fumble for the tiny switch, which is hard to operate.

Useless energy efficient poison mercury laden bulb, that can only be disposed of by a hazmat team, turns my yellow room green. Installation was not easy, the wall switch doesn't fit the metal box, so that has to be replaced too.

Lamp/fan is not unattractive, but rather plain looking, and I can't yet find a more attractive replacement globe. So, now that it is almost installed, I can't start a fight at home saying I want a different one. I have to live with it.

I want a new globe, and I want a user friendly wall switch. The light bulb I can replace, but I have to dispose of this one at some toxic dump site.

Now unfortunately, I've read the other reviews. So, I guess I can expect the worst.
