Modern Fan Company
For a Modern and Artistic Approach

The modern fan company produces contemporary style ceiling fans.

Anyone looking for a modern, artistic approach to ceiling fans should look at the styles offered by the Modern Fan Company.

Sold through authorized dealers across the United States, Canada, Mexico, India, Europe, and Japan, these fans are contemporary and unique in their styling.

Whether you choose one with a single aerodynamic blade, or a more conventional style, you will be purchasing a high-quality product.

The fans sold by this the modern fan company have all been designed by Ron Rezek, a design entrepreneur who founded the company in 1997 in Ashland, Oregon.

By 2005, his line of fans had grown to eighteen. Many of the fans have been redesigned and redeveloped over the years to not only be used in the private home sector, but also in the corporate sector.

They are easy to install and maintain, and have been developed with the needs of the contemporary designer in mind. All of the fans reflect Rezek’s philosophy of being simple in form and construction.

Of course, personal preference always comes into play when choosing a ceiling fan. It not only has to fit the décor, but also the personality of the designer and the end user. Modern’s fans are designed to do just that.

Whether you are using the ball ceiling fan (pricing at around $480.00), the Halo ceiling fan (around $600.00) or the Nimbus ceiling fan (around $675.00), you will be happy with the high-quality and working of these products.

Altus Hugger Model

The Altus Hugger ceiling fan is made of die-cast aluminium and comes in gloss white or hand brushed aluminium. The three blades which come in 36, 42, or 52 inches, are made of plywood laminate with a matching housing finish.

The housing itself is in the shape of an elegant ball with an optional halogen lighting fixture. It is rated for damp locations with a silent running motor and reverse switch for year round operation. Additional controls are sold separately and this fan runs approximately $435.00 from an authorized dealer.

Modern’s Aurora Model

Modern’s Aurora ceiling comes with a fluorescent lamp and energy saving lighting. It is made of die-cast aluminum, like the Hugger, and comes in brushed aluminum or gloss white. The body is a diffuser which casts light in both directions. The three blades, made of plywood, come in 42 or 52 inches.

It is capable of being used all year round with a reverse switch, can be adapted for sloped ceilings, and is approximately six inches tall without any down rods or accessories. It is rated of indoor, dry location use only. This fan is currently selling for around $400.00.

Cirrus Hugger Model

Low ceilings are not a problem for the Cirrus Hugger ceiling fan. Designed specifically for this use, they are made of die-cast and extruded aluminum, coming in brushed aluminum or gloss white. The blades can be purchased in plywood laminate or injection molded acrylic and are available in 36, 42, or 52 inch lengths.

An optional light kit comes with the fan ready to accept a halogen or incandescent light bulb. It is listed for damp locations and has a reverse switch for summer and winter applications. Authorized dealers carry this fan for about $540.00.

No matter what type of ceiling fan you purchase, make sure it is rated properly for use in the area you wish. Always buy the proper type of fan for the room it is to go in, and make sure a trained professional installs it for you.

Research the additional accessories that are available in case you wish to have more alternatives, such as remote controls. Take care of your ceiling fan, and with proper use, your air will circulate most efficiently.
