poor quality
by: John Chrystal

I purchased 3 harbor Breeze Calera 42" fans for my covered porch. The porch is on the second floor of the house which is located along the Pamilco River in Eastern North Carolina. In a moderate breeze (30 mph) the blades mounts start to break and the blades go flying across the porch. I have replaced 15 blades in 3 years (with 3 more gone since, that I refuse to replace). Replacing the mounts and blades is a gruesome job when the fans are equipped with light kits, as mine are. In addition, the motor housings are beginning to seriously rust out. So much for the outdoor-wet application rating!
