I bought three of these (42")from Lowes for bedrooms in my new Florida home. All three are noisy ranging from a slight humming sound to a very noisy humming sound. I took the blades off the noisiest one and it made no difference.

Totally unsuitable for a bedroom. In addition, the light kit is extremely difficult to install because the wires are so cramped into a confined space. They look good and they're not expensive, but do yourself a favor and don't buy this fan.
