Remote controlled Harbor Breeze

We installed 4 ceiling fans in the 4 bedrooms of our home, each with a remote control and discovered a problem. The remote controls seem to operate all fans. For example, if the person downstairs operates the fan with the remote, it controls the fan in the downstairs room and the room above.

I wish we knew how to program these to operate only the adjacent fan but can't find an answer online. Might have to call Lowe's service.
