I would not buy a Hunter remote control ceiling fan. I went to Lowes to buy a new ceiling fan as my old one was making noise. I bought a Hunter Whisper Quiet that still makes some noise.

I asked the salesclerk if there was a remote and he told me I had to buy the Hunter remote seperately. I asked if the lights dimed and the fan was adjustable speed, he assured me it was. I asked if I could use fluorescent bulbs and he assured me I could, so I bought them. I had the electrician install the fan and change the bulbs.

I came home to find out the fan speed is adjustable only from the hanging chain, not from the remote, the light is only dimable from the chain, not from the remote, and the fluorescent bulbs flicker. With my cheap $50 fan I could change the speed and dim the bulbs from the remote.

I guess Hunter doesn't know how to build a customer friendly fan, and Lowes doesn't know how to train their salespeople. I am on my way to return the bulbs, what a waste of time./
